When I was about ten years old I told my mom I wanted to be a writer. I had been playing at my best friend’s house and had seen a little book that she wrote for a young author’s conference, and the idea of putting words on paper completely consumed me. I couldn’t wait to go home and sit at the computer in the back of our house and write a story.
Not a lot has changed in that part of my life. Just the simple thought of writing absolutely thrills me. Images like typewriters, notebooks and even just fonts or pretty letters drive me to be writing. And while I write a lot of things – journal entries, grocery lists, prayers, blog posts and even fictional stories – I haven’t always known what I wanted to write.
As a young wife and a mom I have found that I desperately want to encourage women to thrive in the life God has called them to. It breaks my heart to hear women say they wish they could (fill in the blank – stay at home with their kids, invite people over to their house, be involved in ministry, pursue creative endeavors) but they can’t because (fill in the blank – we can’t afford it, I just don’t have time, I’m not organized enough).
So I write to encourage them – to encourage YOU! To say, Yes, you can! Whatever God has called you to, yes, you can.
I write to give you ideas, and tips and strategies to get things done in your busy, hectic days so that you can move on and enjoy life.
I write so that you can say YES, to the life God is calling you to and to help you thrive in it.
I hope that you will be blessed by what you read here, and that you will share your struggles and successes too.
Just a little bit about me – I’m Hannah and I’m a wife to Harrison and a mom to Phoebe (four) and Phin (two) and Asher (one). I’m a southern girl with an accent, and I say “Y’all” and “fixin to”. I’m from a big family of birth kids and adopted siblings. I love to read when I can find the time, and I like to cook but usually stick to simple meals. I’m a stay-at-home mom and a writer. I love Jesus and I’m so thankful to live life walking in grace – if you want to know more about what that means I would love to tell you! I don’t know everything there is to know about being a wife and/or a mom, but I’m right in the midst of it and I love to talk and share about the journey.
And I LOVE to connect with readers! Follow me on Instagram or send me an email to let me know you’re here, I would love to “meet” you!
